Redsea Catechetics
To find jobs i have been using Design Crowd. This allows companies to post briefs. The Brief will Describe the project, set a deadline and set a project budget for the job. This then lets thousands of designers browse through projects and choose a job they like. The winner will get picked at the end of the deadline and usually end up with some cash.
The first project i did was for Red Sea Catechetics. This company was for religous education materials for children, teens, and eventually adults. They wanted a logo which represented the red sea being parted with the sun. They wanted to add a lot of text but said not to if it looked to tacky.
This was my first logo for Design Crowd, i did not win but its good to get in practise for future projects:
The next Project i did was for Titletown Flooring. They were in need for a logo for there new flooring store. They specialise in all types of flooring including carpet, hardwood, and tile. There business is located in Green Bay, WI, home of the NFL Packer football team, hence the name Titletown Flooring.
I uploaded three versions of my logo which I put onto Design Crowd. The First logo i did was the colours that they had asked for which was old school Packer Navy and Gold colours. I also added a black and white one and one which was gold with a little bit of navy. This was the second logo project i did and all three of my logos got eliminated. The Feedback i got back for all three said that this logo was not what they were looking for.
Liquid Star
The next project i did was for a company called Liquid Star Beverages. They are based in Sunshine Coast in Australia. They sell a range of Drinks to Retail outlets. There Drinks are young vibrant brands, and there Company "LiquidStar" needed to be seen as solid and dependable, but also innovative and fun. They did want beverages in the logo but they said that when they become more known they would like to be able to take it off of the logo. For this project i did four different logo's, two which were quite similar. This was the third logo project i did and all four of my logos got eliminated. The Feedback i got back for all four said that this logo was not what they were looking for.
